Autorité de Régulation des Communications électroniques et des Postes (ARCEP) will soon be determining the final amount of the cost of universal service for 2005, as well as the contributions to be made by electronic communications operators.
To do this, it is opening a consultation from 16 October to 31 October 2006on the rules it plans to apply in performing this evaluation, in application of articles R.20-33 to R. 20-39 of the Posts and Electronic Communications Code.
ARCEP invites operators and all other interested parties to submit their comments on this document or proposed amendments by 26 October 2006 at the latest.
Upon completion of this consultation, ARCEP will adopt and publish the rules it will use for this evaluation.
