13 January 2003 During the fourth quarter 2002, net growth of operator customers, including Overseas départements and Mayotte, was:
- Orange: 420 700 customers
- SFR: 398 400 customers
- Bouygues Telecom: 14 600 customers
- for a total of: 833 700 new customers
This means that, as of 31 December 2002, there were 38 585 300 wireless customers in France, for an equipment rate of 64.0%.
Customer numbers of the top three operators at 31 December were:
- Orange: 19 215 500 customers
- SFR: 13 546 900 customers
- Bouygues Telecom: 5 822 900 customers
This represents market share of:
- 49.8% for Orange
- 35.1% for SFR
- 15.1% for Bouygues Telecom
The customer growth rate year on year (between 31 December 2001 and 31 December 2002) was 4.3%. It was 2.2% during the last quarter 2002 compared to the third quarter 2002.
