On 5 April, Vivendi group decided to retain the buyout proposal submitted by Altice/Numericable for its telecom subsidiary, SFR.
France’s Competition Authority will soon be called upon to rule on this proposed concentration. ARCEP remains at the Authority’s disposal to provide its expertise.
Should the procedure include an in-depth (i.e. phase 2) investigation, ARCEP will be solicited by the Competition Authority, and will issue its opinion on the planned takeover.
