Communiqué de presse

ARCEP adopts its decision on the third cycle of regulation governing wholesale mobile voice call termination.

Paris, 5 November 2010

After having received the remarks of the European Commission and the responses to the public consultation launched on 9 September of this year, ARCEP adopted its Decision no. 2010-1149 concerning the third cycle of regulation for wholesale mobile voice call termination on 2 November 2010.

This decision extends the ceiling tariffs currently in effect in Metropolitan France to the period running from 1 January to 30 June 2011, and sets the new maximum tariffs from 2011-2012 for French overseas markets, which continue to be lowered gradually to cost-oriented prices.

Future ARCEP decisions will set the tariffs applicable for the remainder of the three-year period, based in particular on cost models for Metropolitan France which are currently being revised and the model for overseas markets which will be reviewed in 2011.
