ARCEP has decided to complete its regulatory framework for new entrants to the mobile telephony market in France – namely Free Mobile, Lycamobile and Oméa Telecom – with an analysis of wholesale SMS termination markets. Once preparatory work is complete, a public consultation will be held in April.
Meanwhile, the Authority’s analysis of wholesale call termination markets for these same new entrants continues. After having taken account of stakeholders’ responses to the public consultation that was held in January, the draft decision on the subject will be notified to the European Commission in the coming weeks.
