Arcep publishes its contribution to the France Stratégie 2017/2027 project: Harnessing the digital revolution

Paris, June 14th 2016

Arcep was keen to contribute to the work being done by France Stratégie with a view to obtaining a diagnosis of the situation in France and of the challenges the country will face over the next 10 years – and especially the digital challenges that affect businesses, public authorities and society as a whole.

During the strategic review carried out in 2015, whose results were unveiled in January 2016, Arcep worked to identify the challenges it would need to meet to prepare for the future. Fuelled by an approach that was open to stakeholders from well beyond the telecoms ecosystem, this strategic review was heavily influenced by an analysis of the changes at work today, and particularly those being propelled by the digital revolution.

As an extension of this reflective process, Arcep wanted to make its contribution in the form of four thematic fact sheets:
  > Create a framework for competitive networks, which are the bedrock infrastructure of society and the digital economy;
  > Guarantee an open internet;
  > Accelerate businesses’ digital transition;
  > Introduce “data-driven” regulation.

Arcep Board member, Pierre-Jean Benghozi, spearheaded this contribution by taking part in the debate hosted by France Stratégie  at Numa Paris on 26 May.
