ART Chairman and the Director General of INSEE (Institut National de la Statistique et des Etudes Economiques) signed an agreement on 6 May 1999 in order to set up a system for collecting and processing data on telecommunications operators' activities in France.
Market analysis of the telecommunications sector is essential for public policy makers, and particularly as input for regulatory decisions. It also responds to a real need expressed by the industry - market parties, operators, equipment manufacturers and service providers, and by users and the general public.
