ART pleased with Conseil de la Concurrence's decision to terminate the marketing of four France Telecom offers

Autorité de régulation des télécommunications (ART) has learned with satisfaction of the decision adopted yesterday by the Conseil de la Concurrence regarding France Telecom's local tariffs. This decision reflects to a large part the analyses and suggestions made by ART in the opinions it had submitted to the Conseil regarding this issue.

This important decision reflects once more the complementary nature of the work of the two institutions, who work together on a basis defined by legislation. This makes it possible for us to move toward our common goal of establishing fair and durable competition in the telecommunications sector to the benefit of consumers.

NB: ART has submitted two opinions, whose terms are very similar, on complaints from Télé 2 and Cegetel. The publication of these two opinions was then followed by the Conseil de la concurence.
