In accordance with the terms of the application procedure launched on 29 December 2001 for the introduction of third-generation mobile systems in metropolitan France, interested parties were invited to submit their application files to ART by 16 May 2002 at noon.
This additional procedure followed a first application procedure held in 2001 by ART, following which two authorisations were allocated to the companies Orange France and SFR.
For the second procedure, one application was submitted by Bouygues Telecom, subsidiary of the Bouygues group.
Therefore, ART begins today its examination of the application, for which it will publish the result and a public report by 30 September 2002 at the latest, as stipulated by the application procedure notice.
