Assignment of 700 MHz, 900 MHz and 3.4 – 3.8 GHz band frequencies in Martinique and in Guadeloupe: Results of the tender dossier examination stage

The procedures for the award of frequencies in the 700 MHz, 900 MHz and 3.4 – 3.8 GHz bands Martinique and in Guadeloupe began on 8 May 2024. As previously announced by Arcep, four firms[1] filed their applications for frequency assignment procedures in the territories of Martinique and Guadeloupe.

Having completed its examination of these tender dossiers, Arcep concluded that the firms Digicel AFG, Free Caraïbe, Orange and Outremer Telecom are qualified to participate in the procedures for the award of 700 MHz, 900 MHz and 3.4 – 3.8 GHz band frequencies.

These companies also made the three commitments set forth in the spectfications[2] and, once the present procedure is complete, can thus each be awarded a block of 50 MHz in the 3.4 – 3.8 GHz band in Martinique and in Guadeloupe.

The four applicants are now authorised to participate in the auction stage for the assignement of the remaining 10 MHz blocks of spectrum in the 3.4 – 3.8 GHz band, and for the assignment of 700 MHz and 900 MHz band spectrum in Martinique and in Guadeloupe.
