For his first trip abroad since his appointment as Chairman of ARCEP, the French Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority, on 4 January, Mr. Jean-Claude Mallet will be travelling to Brussels on 2 February 2009.
Mr. Mallet will be meeting with the European Commissioner for Information Society and Media, Ms. Viviane Reding, the European Commissioner for Competition, Ms. Neelie Kroes and President Barroso’s advisor on the internal market and the information society, Mr. Henning Klaus. He will be accompanied by ARCEP Executive Board member, Mr. Nicolas Curien.
These first talks will focus on Europe’s role in the digital economy and the issues currently facing the electronic communications and postal sectors.
