ARCEP Chairman, Jean-Ludovic Silicani, accompanied by Executive Board member, Nicolas Curien, met with Neelie Kroes, European Commissioner for Competition, in Brussels on 21 October 2009.
This first meeting provided an opportunity to discuss electronic communications and postal markets, and the outstanding issues in these sectors.
Talk focused in particular on the methods to be used for deploying new optical fibre ultra high-speed access networks in Europe and in France.
Jean-Ludovic Silicani will be meeting soon with Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media.
