The beauty contest for the 4th French 3G license was launched on March 8th 2007, as a result of the interest expressed by several companies during the public consultation held by ARCEP in late 2006.
In accordance with the texts of the beauty contest, interested players had to submit their application to ARCEP before July 31st 2007 at 12 o’clock.
One application was submitted before this deadline, by Free Mobile, 100 % subsidiary of Iliad, listed company held at more than 70 % by its managers.
ARCEP will now examine this application, in accordance with the procedure described by the beauty contest.
