The Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas LL.M in European market and regulatory law is a two-year Master’s programme that provides students with the legal grounding in European economic law required by any lawyer planning to enter the world of market economy corporate affairs and government action.
Opening network sectors (digital infrastructure, energy, transportation) up to competition required market regulation designed to achieve a balance between the requirements of competition and other public interest imperatives. The programme enables students to gain an overall understanding of the principle of market regulation, and provides them with the operational tools required of anyone working in this area: cross-cutting principles of European competition law and regulation, general rules and procedures governing European Union markets, and sector-specific aspects of regulatory law are thus all part of the curriculum.
With lectures by both academics and real-world practitioners (lawyers, in-house counsel, legal affairs department heads, public authority and government agency staff members, judges) this Master’s programme gives students a solid legal grounding and the opportunity to develop their ability to apply this knowledge to concrete situations. The programme will be an asset for professionals working in European internal market and regulatory law, whether at law firms, businesses or French or European authorities and institutions.
